Here we have a March 1962 Triumph TR4, CT6338-O. Refinished in Royal Blue with a lovely Tan interior. A wooden dashboard, door tops and steering wheel complement the interior.
The engine has been breathed on, running SU’s with a stainless steel exhaust. It pulls very well on the road, soon gets you to the legal limit! The gearbox is the 4 speed with A type overdrive, all works as they should with no untoward noises. The rear axle is quiet with no clonks/knocks or bangs.
Externally the condition of the paintwork is superb, having recently been converted back to TR4 specification (came to us having been modified in the 80’s with a TR4A front grille, front bumper and the wing repeaters/body trims). We are currently seeking a TR4 bumper to fit to the car to finish it off.
All the brightwork is in good condition. A stainless steel boot rack is fitted, complementing the beautifully deep dark blue paintwork. Sat on Minilite type wheels with good tyres, adds to the look of the car and indeed the handling.
Suspension has been uprated to ‘fast road’ specification. It’s not harsh to drive on the road but certainly knows how take a corner…
We have previous MOT’s and invoices of work carried out in the recent years. The wet weather equipment is in good condition, hood works as it should. Heritage certificate is present.
