What a Belter of a car this little “Spridget” is! Presented in wonderful metallic blue/black coachwork with contrasting red and black interior and with various “sympathetic” and subtle upgrades to enhance the overall driving experience!
So, First of all the body of this car – The large history file documents a full body restoration carried out to an excellent standard in the early 2000’s where it was “Gapped” and painted into the colour it is presented in today where it still remains in truly excellent condition.
Further through the history file shows evidence of an engine rebuild in 2013 carried out by Brown and Gammons LTD where the engine was fully overhauled. The gearbox was also subjected to a full rebuild of the gearbox in 2018 by Heathrow transmissions while still remaining in the same ownership. Both of these invoices totalled £4500 on their own with many more backing up the extensive work that has been carried out on the car over the years. Most notably (other than the engine, body and gearbox work) is the full rework of the suspension and brakes. New brake pipes, Braided brake hoses, calipers etc etc all fitted at the same time that the suspension was rebuilt using only polyurethane bushes.
Other upgrades include the refurbishment of the heater, LED dash lights, hardtop, soft top, full tonneau and hood bag, 12V power point and stereo too!
A Fantastic, versatile little sports car this is just a hoot to drive! and with the history and provenance to back it all up!
