Here we have what can only be described as the very best MGA we have seen.
Supplied from new to the UK market on the 1st of April 1958 in its factory specification of Mineral blue coach work with a black trim which it still remains in today following a nut & bolt restoration carried out to the highest of standards. Supplied with the vehicle are printed photos and a memory stick of photos showing the step-by-step restoration.
The initial work was carried out to a standard specification before it was sold onto the former owner who added various mechanical upgrades. Subsequently there are receipts for a further £20k + since 2021 from MG Motorstort where a stage 2 MGB engine was built and fitted along with a type 9 5 speed gearbox transferring the power through a new 3.9:1 diff.
The rear axle casing was removed and replaced for a restored one prepared for wire wheels before a new set of wire wheels with Rredestein classic tyres were fitted. The front brakes were also upgraded to discs, an anti-roll bar was fitted and an oil cooler was also installed. The destributor was upgraded to a Distributor doctor electronic ignition systemv designed for the new profiled cam and the exhaust was upgraded to a stainless steel tubular manifold and system.
Attention was then turned towards the electrics. An ARC alternator was fitted to help power the new halogen H4 headlights.
The history file for this file with this car is greatwith receipts and MOT's on file which go back to the 1960's documenting the cars life from nearly new. This is accompanied by restoration receipts, photos and a heritage certificate too giving you peace of mind of the vehicles provenance and condition too.
