An out of the ordinary Series 2 Daimler Sovereign Double-Six two door, capable of a variety of roles from weekend racer to shopping courier.
This wonderful 1975 Daimler Double-Six, finished in Pale Primrose Yellow is believed to be the only one produced by the factory in this specification. Only 372 RHD V12 coupes were produced making any survivor a rare car today.
The pillarless coupe is a design to feast ones eyes upon and with this particular colour combination - the radiance of 1970’s is an absolute delight. The bodywork of the car is in good, rust-free condition however there are a number of paintwork areas that may require some attention if concourse standard is what you are looking for.
The interior, finished in olive leather compliments the exterior infamously - in great condition throughout with no rips or tears. The cabin is where the Daimler styling excels, creating a regal atmosphere throughout. The original wooden dash is starting to show some age but presents fine.
The 5.3 litre Jaguar V-12 produces 254bhp and coupled to the Borg Warner automatic 4-speed gearbox, the Daimler Double-Six glides with ease and packs the punch when required. Driven through the rear wheels and armed with power steering, corners are taken with ease. The suspension is comfortable and the car seems to hover down the road with no unusual knocks.
Accompanying the car is a current V5C, a handbook and a number of previous invoices and MOT certificates.
