Here we have a November 1981 registered TR7 FHC, finished in Rover Monza Red (resprayed 2001) with Red check interior. Having been converted engine wise to the 16v ‘Sprint’ engine, it doesn’t hang about. Mated to the 5 speed gearbox, it makes a superb, comfortable mileage munching car. Most recently the car toured the Isle Of Man for 5 days, covering over 1000 fault free miles.

Plenty of invoices to back up the works carried out and indeed the current condition of the vehicle.

This TR7 comes with a lovely history file which includes the original bill of sale from Henleys of West London for the princely sum of £6,995! Invoices date back to the late 80’s. The MOT paperwork dates back to 1988. The original service book and pack is with the vehicle, including the original handbook.

The car sits very well on it’s Minilite wheels, tyres have good tread. On the road this car drives lovely, no unwanted knocks or bangs. Engine pulls well and the gearbox is smooth.

Having the Webasto sunroof fitted, it is a great addition to have on a summers day!

To summarise this vehicle, it is an older restoration that has been very well looked after. If we could criticise the vehicle it would be the paintwork. Having been painted 18 years ago in Cellulose, the paint has faded and we have tried to ‘lift it’ but it doesn’t meet our required standard, this is reflected in the price!

These TR7’s are going up in value, this one having the Sprint engine fitted is a very desirable upgrade and a fraction of the cost of a factory Sprint.
