Where do we start with this truly remarkable vehicle.

This is a vehicle that can be totally regarded as a true “survivor” car. Rover P5B coupe’s are openly available as perfect, restored examples however it is rare that opportunities of true properly preserved examples become available.

When you delve into the history file you soon see why this car is so stunning.

Remarkably this vehicle has history dating back to when it was first purchased by Chief Air Marshall of the Royal Air Force (Sir Edward Chilton) who purchased the vehicle as part of his retirement in May 1971 and subsequently owned it until his death in 1992. During his ownership (where the first 100,000 miles of the vehicles genuine 120,000 were covered) Sir Edward Chilton was very particular with the the vehicles maintenance and ensured that it was recorded correctly. As a result an extensive history file accumulated over the years which includes 2 FULL service books, Extensive invoices for all work that has ever been carried out on the car along with every single MOT certificate dating back to the mid 1970’s.

Since Sir Edward Chilton passed away the car has had just 3 more owners (now 4 owners in total) and each owner since has continued the the in depth maintenance records to continue with the outstanding provenance.

The vehicle has recently been subjected to a full bare metal respray (Photos available by request) completed to to the highest of standards in its original Silver birch over burnt grey colour combination. This was done to to the car justice more than anything due to the rest of the vehicle being so outstanding. The interior is completely untouched and original as we feel it should be kept as it is part of the vehicles charm!

freshly serviced and fitted with 4 nearly new Vredestien tyres but can also be supplied with a set of white wall tyres if preferred.

A true example of British heritage ready for you to enjoy while retaining excellent investment qualities
