A beautifully restored example of a US dry state (rust free) Mustang. Sourced by us from Arizona in 2014 before being shipped to the UK and restored.

We chose this car to begin restoring due to the sheer quality of the body. The car was completely accident and corrosion free providing a very good basis to begin. Firstly it was stripped back to bare shell and bare metalled before being re-sprayed into its original meadow lark yellow. The rear axle was refurbished, all new suspension joints, brake lines and hoses, discs, pads shoes and hubs!

We then set about the engine and gearbox. Firstly we wanted to enhance the driving experience by changing the 3 speed automatic gearbox for a more user friendly Tremec T5 manual – an easy conversion that makes all of the difference! The engine was then sent to a well known race engineer Kenny Coleman where the crank was polished and balanced, new rods, pistons and the block was bored. The Heads were gas flowed, a mild GT cam was added with a Edlebrock inlet manifold 650CFM Holley carb and Roush performance headers – all making the car breath better! During the engine build the block, heads and sump were painted into the original “ford blue” to finish off the look in the engine bay.

All of the interior was renewed with genuine mustang components including the seats, head liner, dashboard and door cards. A wood rim Mustang steering wheel was added too. To finish the car off we fitted 18” Ford racing replica wheels with Pirelli P-Zero tires and a custom made exhaust which sounds fantastic while not causing “drone” noises while being driven at lower RPM’s

All in all a very high quality restoration of a vehicle that began as the perfect project car. Restoration photos available on request
