A beautiful example of British design and engineering preserved in the state of California where it was first supplied to.

This car was repatriated in 1990 when it was converted to RHD and used “as was” until 2005 when the last owner set about a detailed restoration.

As mentioned, this vehicle was restored in 2005 – This was undertaken by the former keeper who spent years trying to find the right car to restore.

When the restoration was undertaken , no stone was left un-turned. everything was taken back to basics starting from a bare chassis all of the suspension and brakes were set upon before the body was blasted and painted and re-assembled. The engine was kept standard but with a conversion to UK spec with SU carbs and a 5 speed T5 gearbox was added for ease on long distance journey’s. All of the chrome work was replaced for new which still remains totally unmarked including the chrome wire wheels.

The trim was fitted (correct for its year) along with full wet weather gear and a (then) optional walnut dashboard.

This is a car that has covered just 2000 miles since the restoration was completed 13 years ago – A multiple local show winner around South Yorkshire which is testament to this vehicles overall quality.

Another TR4 that is seriously not to be missed.
