The 924 – An underrated insight into Porsche’s handle on 80’s useable sports cars. Good quality examples of these vehicles are now quickly being snapped up by collectors and attracted by enthusiasts!
Its hard to know where to start with this vehicle. As can be seen in within the images it is in outstanding condition which when you delve into the overwhelmingly large history file it is soon explained why.
This vehicle was first ordered by a Mr R. Hancock of Wooton under Edge, Gloucester on the 6th of October 1982 from Dick Lovett specialist cars (Marlborough) Ltd before being delivered on the 14th of January 1983.The vehicle is both complete with the order form, spec list and original purchase invoice amounting to £11,426.61 including new car purchase tax, delivery, a Bosch roof aerial, twin speakers and 1 years road fund licence. From then on the vehicle was methodically pampered by the supplying dealer who were the main dealer to work on the vehicle until 2001 where it was then taken to Porsche specialist garages. We purchased the vehicle from a gentleman who is the service manager for a local Skoda Main dealership who had his workshops perform a full “Major C” service prior to selling it on. The vehicles maintenance history is compiled with service check lists from Dick Lovett specialist cars, several old MOT certificates and check lists, original factory supplied service book and manuals etc. There is also two documented timing belt changes at both 65,000 miles and 100,000 miles.
This vehicle is complete with all of the factory supplied equipment such as two sets of keys, tool kit, jack and sunroof bag! The interior is in outstanding condition with no sign of any ware whatsoever along with all electrical components are present and correct!
If you are looking for a mechanically and structurally sound 924 then this is the vehicle for you. A car that has been actively known within the 924 owners club its is clear that it has been owned by enthusiasts throughout. Finished in arguably the best colour (Guards red).
Sensibly priced for a properly cared for example – not to be confused with tired overworked vehicles.
